That's why it's time to bring back the knuckle sandwich! There is no better response to hate than a motherfucking punch in the face. Happy day!

One thing this Gen X'er is starting to notice is the inability of (mostly younger people to solve their problems without violence.

Most movies now days use extreme violence to solve problems, and is all abou getting much more than even.

I noticed that as well. The do not want to just get even. They want to destroy their adversary.

Oh I know what "boomer" means, and I know that I am definitely GenX. That i >why I said "boomery" to draw a parallel to how some people act nowadays -- >direct relation to how our parents acted as those of us who were born to >boomers.

I wonder what the boomers called it when they started acting like their parents? ;)

It seems like the labels lead to division. It makes the label less than human and ok to insult it or berate it. After all, it is just a label. People under a certain age forget there is a human attached to that label. I hear a lot of people on one side of the argument throwing around facism today and they do not really understand what it really means....

    But that's on purpose.

Look back during WWII - because there were a LOT of movies/shorts done then.

Normal humans don't like to hurt other humans. But we needed to fight some humans that will hurt us. So Hollywood made propaganda videos to, literally, dehumanize the "enemy". This allowed us to raise an army that would have no problems killing someone who wasn't "human".

The propaganda was more effective against the Japanese because they looked different than against the Germans because many Germans immigrated to the U.S. in years past.

BTW: This was one of the reasons the U.S. interred Japanese-Americans. Not to put them in prison, but to protect them from a propagandized public.

I hear a lot of people on one side of the argument throwing
around facism today and they do not really understand what it really means.

Something we've critized the Left on for a long time.

But the "fascism" label has nothing to do with Fascism. Rather it's part of the dehumanization plan.
